Interview with Levi Ramiro on Wednesday July 17th at 11PM

Coming up on Wednesday at 11PM on WKCR 89.9FM New York an interview with Levi Ramiro that I, Augusto, recorded in June. He received me with fresh homemade coffee at his house in Estiva-SP, a small town in Brazil. Levi told me about his career as a "viola" player, Brazilian regional music known as "Sertanejo de Raiz" and his work as an artisan. He builds his own instruments using an unusual material: a fruit called "cabaça," which is the same used in a berimbau. If you are curious about it and can't wait until Wednesday, watch this video recorded during the interview in which he plays Tristeza do Jeca (Angelino de Oliveira) and Águas de Março (Tom Jobim).
